Publication Studio Vancouver is pleased to open its new space at 222 East Georgia Street in Vancouver, BC with an exhibition titled Some Woolly Buzz. This exhibition features artists, writers, curators, and poets from Europe, UK, USA and Canada who responded to an invitation to e-mail a PDF to create affordable limited laser print editions to be exhibited in our inaugural exhibition, in order to create ‘some woolly buzz to excite the fans and confound the critics’1!
Publication Studio prints and binds books on demand, creating original work with artists and writers we admire. We are part of a network of Publication Studios in other cities including Portland, Berkeley, Toronto, Los Angeles and Malmö. Publication Studio is a laboratory for publication in its fullest sense—not just the production of books, but the production of a public.
In our new space we will continue to print books on demand and we will also present exhibitions that blur boundaries between editorial and curatorial practices and present visual artwork that relates to an expanded notion of publication.
Please join us for Some Woolly Buzz!
