Orphans and Dogs contains unfiltered and unapologetic writing, photographic compositions, and drawings by Elizabeth Fischer, as well as her translation of Humorom by Attila Balogh, a Hungarian Roma poet. Throughout these stories, fragments, and poems, Fischer takes an honest and unsensationalized approach to experiences and observations of poverty, exile, and alienation.

This book was originally published to accompany the exhibition Elizabeth Fischer: Orphans and Dogs at UNIT/PITT Projects in 2015.
