Vancouver artist, curator, editor and writer, Lorna Brown continues her work on parsing the mechanics of systems such as maps, archives, language and reading. Here she ruminates on the relationship between the words apostrophe and catastrophe.

Brown has been exhibiting her artwork since the 1980s. She was a founder of the Vancouver Association for Non Commercial Culture and the Director/Curator of Artspeak Gallery. Her recent public work Digital Natives was made in collaboration with Clint Burnham.
